New Member Packet
When you initially join the Buckeye Miata Club at the "single" or "family" level you will receive a new-member packet. This is our way of saying welcome to BMC. Your packet will contain several items, including: chapter pin(s), membership roster, new member handbook, static BMC decal, discount pricing information, and BMC magnets for your car.
Pins: One pin per member is included with each new
membership ( Two pins max). The pins are tie-tac
size showing our logo in red, white and blue on a gold pin. It is one of the
nicest chapter
pins we've seen, if we do say so ourselves! Additional pins may be purchased at
any time for $5 each.
Membership Roster: A current list of BMC members showing their addresses, phone#'s, E-Mail, car color/year. This list is not given to anyone outside the club.
Member Discounts
Byers Mazda/Subaru sponsors the Buckeye Miata Club. Every current member of BMC may receive a 10% discount on any over the counter part or accessory. Just tell them you're a member when making your purchase! All Miata owners are welcome at our events. There is usually a charge of $10 to $15 per car to cover insurance and operating expenses. As a BMC member at the "single" or "family" level you will always pay a discounted rate for any event. For example, non-member cars may be charged $15 for a fun rally, while member cars would pay $10.
Meetings/Events
As a member, you are encouraged to attend our monthly business meetings at Byers Mazda/Subaru on Billingsley Road. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. The meetings typically last about an hour, followed by dinner and socializing at a local restaurant. We also put on one or more club events every month. These include rallies, autocrosses (beginners welcome!), overnighters, and a holiday dinner in December. In addition, many folks get together informally for spur of the moment country drives...usually ending at a restaurant of course.
