Corn Picking
Saturday, July 26 - rain or shine
I am inviting you to come to our annual corn picking at the Clemmons farm Saturday, July 26 rain or shine. We will meet at Los Mariachis Mexican Restaurant at 287 Lafayette Street in London (Rt. 42) at 5:00 p.m. This is the same place we ate last year. As you drive into London, it is the first strip mall on your right, just past Wal-Mart.
We should arrive at my farm about 7:00 p.m. for those of you not interested in Mexican food. The railroad tracks are out by the football field, so I suggest you follow the posted detour. Take Rt. 42 to the Courthouse. Turn left (south) onto Main Street. Go across two sets of railroad tracks and turn right (west) onto Center Street. When Center Street ends, bear left onto Rt. 38 South. My farm is about 3.5 miles. After you drive through Newport, it is the second farm on the right. To complicate matters, the state highway may be tarring and chipping Rt. 38. If this happens, I will send another e-mail by Friday evening, July 25. Feel free to drive your S.O.B. (Some Other Brand) vehicle. Please call or e-mail me if you are coming by Saturday noon so I’ll have an idea of who to expect. Hope you can join me for the best sweet corn in Madison County,
Update: Miata Friends, State Route 38 is okay. The resurfacing project has not started. Feel free to drive your Miatas to the Corn Picking tomorrow (Saturday). If you decide to drive your S.O.B's (Some Other Brand), bring lawn chairs. The forecast says showers. If you plan to go to the field and pick corn, bring an old pair of shoes.
NancyThe Central Ohio Rally Club will present Follow Me Rally on Saturday, July 26, 2008. The event is designed to be a time/speed/distance event. Registration opens at 5:30 PM and First Car Off will be 6:31 PM. The event will be run on well maintained roads and at or below legal speed limits.

Saturday, August 23
It is that time of year again! Are you ready to grab a tube and join us for a fun day on the Mohican River??
On Sat., August 23, we will meet at the Tim Horton's at the corner of State Street and Maxtown Road in Westerville at 8:00 a.m. At 8:30 a.m. we will set off for Loudonville and the Mohican River - arriving at approximately 10:00 a.m.
This is a fun day of drifting down the river, good conversation, a lot of laughs and, of course, some food along the way.
If you are unable to swim, there is no reason to fear as the water in the river is not very deep. If you do not want to wear a swim suit, shorts and a t-shirt work well. Please remember to have either sandals or water shoes covering your feet.
Please RSVP to Jane and Jerry by August 16. E-mail Jane at janen@stpacc.org.
This is always a fun event - Please join us.
